Photo installation, 2012

The photo installation "Field of Vision" expands our view of the photographic portrait. The 4-part double portrait of man and sheep, based on the sculptural art historical representation of the "Good Shepherd", is a contemporary portrait by the painter Mathias Weischer. It is a portrait that expands the photographic space and operates with physicality and movement, both on the part of the subject and the viewer.
When viewed statically from a distance, the installation exploits the viewer's field of vision. If the viewer reduces the distance to focus on a single image and moves from image to image, their movement creates a 3-dimensional representation.
